President Akufo-Addo commissions ‘New Douala Barracks’ at Burma Camp

The President of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has on Tuesday, 12th May, 2020 commissioned a sixty-four (64) capacity “New Douala Barracks” Regeneration Project at Burma Camp in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

According the President, his government initiated the project way back in 2017 to help address infrastructural problems of the Armed Forces. He added that, the project was to ease the discomfort and accommodation challenges the Armed Forces have been confronted with for many years now.

President Akufo-Addo revealed that, the four (4) new blocks of sixty-four (64) apartment project will solve accommodation challenge for sixty-four (64) families.

Information available show that, each of the 64 apartments is made up of a living room, two (2) bedrooms, a kitchen and standard sanitary facilities.

The President also disclosed that, his government is constructing a similar ultramodern projects near completion at the Airborne Force, Six (6) Infantry Battalion in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana, and other garrisons.
