His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has intervened in the disciplinary action taken against the eight (8) students of Chiana Senior High School (SHS) who were dismissed by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

In a letter dated 13th January, 2023 from the Ministry of Education signed by Kwasi Kwateng, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Ministry directs GES to take alternative action against the students who insulted and defamed President Akufo-Addo.

Based on the President’s intervention, the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has instructed the Director-General of Ghana Education Service (GES) Dr. Eric Nkansah to take an alternative disciplinary action instead of the dismissal they announced.
