After several months of negotiations, the Government of Ghana, represented by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, and Ministry of Finance (MOF) has agreed on a base pay increase of 30% for the 2023 fiscal year.

Following this agreement which was signed yesterday 12th January, 2023, the question on the minds of many Ghanaian workers is  What will be your Salary after the 30% Increase Base Pay?

How much will be your Salary after the 30% Increase Base Pay?

The increase that you would have in your pay depends on the amount you earn as your base pay.

For Example; If you currently earn a base pay of ¢1,000, you will get a thirty percentage increase in your pay which will be calculated as;

30/100 * ¢1,000 = ¢300

This means that, your new base pay will be ¢1,000 + ¢300 = ¢1,300.

NOTE THIS IS THE AMOUNT BEFORE TAX
