Prof. Opoku-Agyemang and Mahama mourn with the bereaved family of KNUST SHS student

The former Minister for Education Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Senior High School student who died last week out an alleged Covid-19 case. “We pray for comfort and strength for the bereaved parents.” She sympathize with the family.

The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a statement said, her attention has been drawn to a viral video that flooded the social media on the death of a helpless KNUST SHS student, who was left to the mercy of his colleagues until he succumbed to his illness.

“My attention has been drawn to a video in which some selfless students of KNUST SHS are seen providing care to their colleague who was obviously ill and in distress.” She said.


According to professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, “reports have it that he was in this condition for almost 3 hours until his father arrived to convey him to hospital. Sadly he is reported to have succumbed to his illness.”

The running mate together with the leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress on behalf of the party has congratulated the selfless and hardworking students who provided support to their hopeless colleagues until his death.

“Former President Mahama and I wish to salute the gallant students who stayed with him for their show of kindness and appreciation of our common humanity.” He praised.
