Ramadan: Volta NDC donates food Items to Hohoe Zongo Caucus

Ramadan is the holy ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which Muslims fast between the break of dawn until sunset; they also refrain from drinking liquids, smoking and having sexual relations. This year’s Ramadan celebrated has been largely affected by the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in Ghana. A situation many Muslims expressed worry over due to the hardship created by the Coronavirus worldwide.

The Volta Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the Ramadan, an occasion celebrated by Muslims, has made some donations to the Hohoe Zongo Caucus.

The Volta NDC revealed that, team donated some twenty (20) bags of sugar and other food items to the community to support them in the ongoing Ramadan.

Professor Margaret Kweku the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Hohoe Constituency during a short ceremony where the items were presented used the occasion to entreat all Muslims to remember Ghana and the constituency in their Holy fasting and prayers for protection against COVID-19. She also assured the people of victory come December 7th and also asked them to remain steadfast.

In attendance where the presentation was made were the Chairman of the NDC Caucus Members of Parliament Hon. Emmanuel Kwesi Bedzrah who is also the MP for Ho West, Hon. Benjamin Kpodo MP for Ho Central, Hon. Bernice Adiku Heloo MP for Hohoe, Professor Margaret Kweku the Parliamentary Candidate for Hohoe constituency together with the NDC Volta Regional Organizer, the Volta Regional Zongo Caucus coordinator and some Hohoe constituency executives led by their chairman Hon. Anni Bansah on Wednesday 13th May, paid a curtsey call to the Zongo community in the Hohoe Municipality.
