The substantive reasons for which the President of the Republic of Guinea, His Excellency Professor Alpha Condé was arrested and overthrown by the Guinea soilders have been revealed.
In a statement, the leader of the soilders Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya who carried out the successful coup d’etat on Sunday, 5th September, 2021 at Guinea Conakry has detailed top reasons for the military takeover.

Addressing the Guineans, he said, the country has been suffering from bad leadership and governance under the Presidency of Alpha Condé for many years, by subjecting the citizens to unfair treatment including but not limited to;
1. captivity
2. rampant corruption
3. mismanagement
4. hardship seen in the country
5. unwarranted thirst for third-termism
6. joblessness
7. poverty
8. manipulation of constitutions
9. profligacy of the ruling elite and
10. naked impunity.

Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya-led military has taken an immediate action to normalize situations including;
1. the dissolution of the constitution
2. Replacement of all regional governors with zone commanders.
3. Replacement of prefects and sub-prefects by the commanders of units of the largest locality.

They have also scheduled an urgent meeting with the outgoing ministers and the former presidents of the institutions on Monday, 6th September, 2021 at 11 am at the people’s palace.
According to the military, any refusal to stand will be considered a rebellion against the CNRD.
