Revelations about the SUVs provided for Ex-President Mahama

In the recent news and reports on how the state has treated the former President of the Republic, Mr John Dramani Mahama, some new shocking and sad revelations have been made.

According to reports, the former President was given five (5) state vehicles after he left office. The five vehicles included 2 SUVs Land Cruisers and 3 saloon cars. The two SUVs which were for the National security detail assigned for the protection of Mr John Dramani Mahama and his family at his residence all broke down in 2018.

The former President stated that a formal complaint was made to the Presidency by his office concerning this but no replacement whatsoever was made.

For the guarantee of his own security, the Ex President had to provide a vehicle for the National security detail assigned to him from 2018 until after the Supreme Court issued the final verdict on the election petition. This revelation shows that it was only after the Supreme Court judgment that two new SUVs were made available to the National security detail for the ex president.

Again, the former First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama also had no cars assigned to her by the state until the end of the Supreme Court case when she was given 2 cars. The accommodation fees, feeding and all other expenses for the National security detail of ex president are catered for by himself each time they embark on a journey.

It has also been revealed that the former President pays for the ticket fees for his ADC and the assistant to the former First Lady every time they travel.
