The accident, which involved Wendy Shay, occurred over the weekend and raised concerns among her fans and the public at large.

Deputy News Editor of UTV, Prince Obimpeh, who reported from the scene, described the circumstances leading up to the accident.

“Between the ACP Junction and the Kwabenya stretch, you know the road is usually clear at night, and so the cars are usually at top speed, even though there is police presence on the road,” Obimpeh explained.

He further recounted the moments after he arrived at the scene of the accident, stating, “A short distance away from the KNUST Accra Campus Junction, coming out of the valley, I saw people gathered around a car. So, I decided to park and see what was happening. Upon checking, I realized a lady was coming out of a car. She had dreadlocked hair just like Wendy Shay.”

Obimpeh then shared that upon closer inspection, he identified the injured individual as Wendy Shay. The accident left her with head injuries, and she was reportedly in significant pain when he approached her.
