Sally Mann urges companies to terminate Sarkodie’s endorsement deals following Yvonne Nelson controversy

Controversial pundit Sally Mann-Frimpong has ignited a fiery debate by demanding the termination of all endorsement deals held by Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.
Mann’s impassioned call comes in response to allegations that Sarkodie abandoned actress Yvonne Nelson at the hospital during a sensitive time.
During an appearance on Power FM, Sally Mann expressed her strong disapproval of Sarkodie’s alleged actions and unequivocally condemned him.
“Leaving someone’s daughter alone at the hospital to undergo an abortion procedure in your name? What was he thinking?” she questioned.
According to the entertainment pundit, such behavior disqualifies him from being an idol or role model for anyone, and she insisted that he should face consequences for his actions.
“I am advocating for the revocation of all of Sarkodie’s endorsement deals because he left Yvonne Nelson to her fate at the hospital. Yvonne was bleeding when they arrived at the hospital for the abortion, and he abandoned her. This alone proves that he is unfit to be an idol for anybody,” she asserted.
Sally Mann raised concerns about what could have happened if Nelson’s condition worsened or if she experienced complications.
“What if Yvonne Nelson had died? Morally, he is not suitable to be a role model for anyone. Some might argue that nobody forced Yvonne into this situation, but sometimes when a woman gets pregnant and her parents reject her while her partner accepts it, she hopes that he will take care of her. Sarkodie is unworthy of being called a celebrity. He should apologize to Yvonne Nelson for abandoning her at the hospital,” she expressed with anger.
Mann further drew comparisons to similar incidents involving international celebrities such as Chris Brown, Tiger Woods, and T.I., noting that in those cases, endorsement deals were terminated due to their controversial actions or legal issues.
“When Chris Brown assaulted Rihanna, he lost all of his endorsement deals. Tiger Woods faced similar consequences. T.I. had his endorsement deals stripped due to drug possession,” she highlighted.
Sally Mann’s comments follow the release of Yvonne Nelson’s captivating memoir, “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON,” where the actress revealed that her relationship with Sarkodie resulted in pregnancy but he refused to take responsibility and urged her to abort.
In her book, Nelson shares personal triumphs and challenges she has faced throughout her life, shedding light on the often-hidden realities of the celebrity world.
The memoir serves as a powerful platform for Nelson to share her experiences, offering readers an intimate understanding of her journey and the lessons she has learned along the way.
