The Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram constituency Hon Samuel Nartey George has challenged the Minister of Information to an open debate on E-levy.
The Electronic Transactions Levy popularly called E-levy has become a national debate as the President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo led Government is seeking to impose a new tax on Ghanians.
In a tweet in reply to the suggestion from a tweeps, Samuel Nartey George indicated that he is ready to take on the information minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on any platform to debate the necessity of the E-levy.
According to Sam George, eventhough he willing and ready to debate Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on the subject, he doubts if the man in charge of the Government’s information dissemination will show up.
In a tweet, Samuel Nartey George said “I’m game but I doubt @konkrumah would oblige us the debate. I’m willing to show up at a place and time of his choosing. Cheers. 🦁”
