The minister for Communication and Digitization, Hon Ursula Owusu has in a latest press briefing reluctantly given the information that the deadline for the sim re registration exercise has been pushed further.

This was communicated by hon Ursula in a press briefing at the ministry in the early hours of Sunday, 31st July, 2022 which was supposed to be the deadline for this exercise.

She stated that this extension is to address all inconveniences of citizens who are yet to do so and believes that the September deadline will be enough to cover all that. “ I am reluctantly giving this extension so that we can a have full one year for the exercise on its anniversary in September since it began in September 2021” she said.
