The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi has descended heavily on the Founder/Publisher of The New Statesman Newspapers Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko for mockery him in his post.
In Facebook post intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko shared a photo of Sammy Gyamfi in a Polo-Shirt labeled “The Rescue Mission” and said, “Was this picture taken in 2014 when President John Mahama dialed the IMF to come and rescue the Ghanaian economy for him? Most probable. At least, let’s attempt to craft campaign messages that have a chance of being believed based on our own competences.”
Gabby’s post has made Sammy Gyamfi very pieved where he responded in a very harsh tonation using his social media handle.
In a post, Sammy Gyamfi responded to Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko by saying “Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko No this picture was taken in 2020, when it became imperative that our dear country needs to be rescued from the clutches of your nepotistic and corrupt cousin, President Akufo Addo, who in conjunction with you and other greedy family relatives of yours, have captured every important state asset.”
He again said, “In any case, when I took this picture is none of your business. What Ghanaians are interested in, is when you (African Legal Associates), your cousin the Finance Minister (Databank) and your cronies, are refunding to the state, the over 240 billion old Ghana cedis your cousin the President, illegally paid to you from our taxes under the dubious Agyapa deal. When are you refunding our monies into the state coffers for nation building? We need our money now. “Y3gye y3 sika! #RescueMission”
It’s unclear why Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko should post a picture of Sammy Gyamfi in a shirt labeled “The Rescue Mission” and linking it to former president Mr. John Dramani Mahama and IMF in the run up to the December 2020 Polls knowing very well that, the said picture was not taken during John Dramani Mahama’s regime as President. His post sought to create a scene that, the label on Sammy Gyamfi’s shirt rather described the National Democratic Congress government under former president John Dramani Mahama with unstable Economy where the IMF has to bailed Ghana out of difficulties.
