The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has been accused of scamming students across the country.

According to accusers, who took to Facebook to share the story, the University deliberately changed their venue at the 11th hour just to frustrate them.

The University of Cape Coast (UCC), on the 11th of August, 2022 reported changed the venues for the 5/3 Semester Sandwich Students, expecting them to report to their new centres on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Some of the affected students said, their venue was changed from Tamale in the North Region to Ada in the Greater Accra Region.

According to the victims, the change in venue which came late was disturbing since the distance from their original venues as indicated on their admission letters to the new centres were very far and cost a lot.

They believe UCC did the change internationally, knowing very well that, the students had already made payment of admission fees which were non refundable.

They are therefore calling on Ghana Education Service (GES), Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), Ministry of Education (MoE) and all teacher unions to take up the matter and fight for them.

The first semester for the third cohort of the 3 Semester Bachelor of Education Sandwich Program came to an end on September 10, 2022 after students spent a month on their various campuses.

The 3 Semester Sandwich Program was introduced in 2019 by the University of Cape Coast to offer teachers with Diploma In Basic Education the opportunity to obtain Bachelors of Education.
