Sarkodie responds to Yvonne Nelson’s pregnancy allegations in a new song ‘Try Me'”
Yvonne Nelson and Sarkodie
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has released a new song in response to the allegations made by actress Yvonne Nelson in her memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”
In the book, Nelson claimed that Sarkodie was her former lover who impregnated her and refused to accept responsibility.
The song titled “Try me” begins with Sarkodie addressing the allegations head-on, stating that he never thought he would be in this situation as he was ready to take certain things to his grave.
He then calls out Nelson for only sharing certain parts of the story and not the full picture.
Sarkodie goes on to explain in the song that he had a relationship with Nelson, but he thought she was cool until he found out she had been with other men.
He claims that when Nelson told him she was pregnant, he suggested she keep the baby, but he never believed her until she sent him a text message.
The rapper also denies pressuring Nelson to have an abortion, which he says is the only part of her story that offends him.
“So it’s not because the book is really good but we leave in w world a negativity sells”. He wrote.
