SDA Church urges members to accept Covid-19 Vaccine

SDA Church members will not take Covid-19 Vaccine

The Seventh day Adventist Church — SDA has urged it’s members to avail themselves to receive the Covid-19 Vaccine.

Following the arrival of 600,000 pieces of Covid-19 Vaccines in the country earlier today, there has been many debates surrounding whether Ghanaians will accept to take the vaccine.

However, the SDA Church has taken a bold first step to educate and urge all their church members to receive the Covid-19 Vaccine.

The church said in a statement that they have no religious or faith-based reason not to encourage our members to take the vaccine.

The SDA Church further added that the vaccines have long been used by Adventist church members throughout the world and has been proved to be safe.

The church also said that “We also wish to state that the speculative view that vaccines make a person unclean because supposedly, unclean substances are used to produce them is a misrepresentation of the biblical instructions forbidding the consumption of unclean food and blood.

Leviticus 11:1-20, 17:11-12; and Acts 15:20 do not apply to vaccines for the obvious reason that vaccines are produced as medication to save lives, not to serve as food.”
