Small businesses will be completely exempted from paying corporate income tax under the Next NDC Government – John Mahama

With less than four months to the December 7th, 2020 Parliament and Presidential elections, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama has started outlining his Campaign promises.

Speaking to organized Labour and
Professional Groups in Volta Regional capital Ho, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama promised that all Small businesses will be exempted completely from paying corporate income tax if he is elected in this year’s Presidential election.

The former President also added that, he will;

  • Reduce corporate income tax for medium size companies from to 25% to 15%.
  • New Medium Size companies employing more than twenty (20) staff will be exempted completely from the payment of corporate income tax for TWO years
  • Newly established Medium Size Companies that employ up to 20 people
    will be completely exempt from the payment of corporate income tax for ONE year.
