The phase five (5) of the voter’s registration exercise has begun on 1st August 2020. At the Hasu Baptist church registration center in Adaklu Awanyaviwofe, the exercise started on time with no challenge.
As at 12:00 noon fifty two (52) applicants have successfully registered. Though there is no technical hinches, turn out for the exercise is low.
Report from our news team indicates that, the exercise is smooth and speedy. The Electoral Commission officers are working hard to register all qualified applicants who turned up for the exercise.
We can also report that, Covid-19 protocols thus; Washing of hands, wearing of nose mask, social distancing ,temperature checking and sanitizing of hands are being adhered to and followed at the polling center.
Though the community members are not turning up for the registration, due to numerous funerals in the community, Registration officers are expecting high turnout from day 2 onwards.
