The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has outlined steps on how to easily acquire the party’s membership card across the country as the party sets modalities for its party level electioneering activities ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The communique sighted by Coverghana.com.gh said, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party card is not given at the party’s Headquarters, neither is it given at the Regional Secretariat.

The statement said, the party cards are basically giving at the branch level where members vote.
On the card, there are only two signatories; that’s, the National Secretary’s Signature and the Branch Chairman’s Signature ONLY.
HOW TO ACQUIRE THE CARD TO BECOME A FULL MEMBER OF THE NDC
The following are steps to follow in order to acquire the party cards. These are;
1. Get at least GH¢10 or GH¢20
2. Go to the branch where you vote during elections.
3. Look for the branch Chairman or the branch Secretary.
4. Tell him/her you are coming to register for NDC membership card.
5. Do not forget to go with you voters ID card, Old/New or both.
6. After registration, your name will be entered into the branch register of the party.
7. That makes you a fully registered member of the NDC party.
Remember that, you can only contest elections in the party when you are a party card bearing member for 4 years or more and has been recognized and known in the branch by party members.

I think it’s time the minimum of four years to qualify for a position in the party should be reviewed and determined on individual grounds. I will help the party especially those have changed their minds to join the party as a result of the failure of the ruling party.
