Sunon Asogli supports Ho flood victims with cash and food donations

Sunon Asogli, a private power producer, has extended a helping hand to the flood victims in Ho by providing both cash and food donations.

The contributions include a generous cheque amounting to GHS 150,000, along with multiple bags of rice and cartons of cooking oil.

According to Yang Qun, the chairman of Sunon Asogli, these donations reflect the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and their dedication to addressing the pressing needs of Ghanaians. Ho has been identified as a recipient of their support.

Prior to making the donations, the Paramount Chief of Asogli, Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV, accompanied by his chiefs and the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ho Municipality, conducted a thorough assessment of the affected areas alongside the Sunon Asogli team. The purpose of the assessment was to evaluate the extent of the damage caused by the floods.

The assessment revealed that several drains in the municipality have become narrow due to the accumulation of debris and vegetation along the waterways.

After witnessing the situation firsthand, Togbe Afede expressed deep concern and emphasized the urgent need for action to address the issue.
