T.I. AMASS withdraws from the 2022 NSMQ

T.I. AMASS, a Senior High School based in the Ashanti Region of Ghana specifically in Kumasi has withdrawn from the 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz.

According to a letter from the school to PRIMETIME, the organizers of the NSMQ signed by Mr. Ahmed K. Boampong, Assistant Headmaster of the school, they have withdrawn from the 2022 NSMQ because as of the time they were called to join to the competition, all their contestants had gone home.

“When the call-up was extended to us, our contestants had all gone home.” – Their letter indicated.

They explain that, when they managed to get their contestants back to the school to prepare them for the contest, the students were not pulling themselves to enable them make a mark at the competition.

“When we assembled them finally, we realised they had all gone rusty. We tried our very best to bring them up to a level that will make them make a mark during the competition, but try as we did, our students were still not pulling themselves.” the letter from the school indicated.

BACKGROUND

T.I Amass, was invited to participate at the Preliminary Stage of the National Championship as part of nine (9) top runners-up from the 2022 Regional Qualifiers.
