The Teacher Unions in Volta Region have announced a Regional demonstration against government’s posture on negotiations of their conditions of service.
The demonstration according to the Teacher Unions is intended to present a petition to the Regional Director of Ghana Education Service, Volta Region, Ho.
The issued notice dated April 24, 2024, signed by Mr. Kassim Seidu Baba (Regional Secretary GNAT, VOLTA), Mr. David Gellie (Regional Chairman, NAGRAT), and Mr. Solomon Takyi (Regional Chairman, CCT-GH) indicated the date and time, converging point/route, number of participants for the demonstration.

NOTICE OF REGIONAL DEMONSTRATION AGAINST GOVERNMENT’S POSTURE ON NEGOTIATIONS OF OUR CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Pursuant to Public Order Act, 1994 (ACT 491), the Regional Executives of the Teacher Unions (GNAT, NAGRAT, CCT-GH), Volta Region wish to inform your office of our intention to demonstrate against government’s continuous refusal to improve upon our conditions of service.
The demonstration is intended to present a petition to the Regional Director of Ghana Education Service, Volta Region, Ho.
The demonstration is scheduled as follows;
- Date: Friday, 3rd May, 2024
- Time: 8:30 am – 11:00 am
- Number of participants: 150 Professional Teachers
- Converging Point/Route: GCB Bank – Market Branch/through to Ola Traffic Light, Civic Centre, Fidelity Bank, and to Regional Education Office
