The Judiciary is Sick – Edem Agbana

Mr. Edem Agbana
The Deputy National Youth Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Edem Agbana says Ghana’s Judiciary is sick.
According to Edem Agbana, denying people bail by the courts and the police is being used as a tool for punishing people who get arrested.
Mr. Edem Agbana made these comments in reaction to the remanding and bailing of Dancehall star Shatta Wale and rapper Medikal. He said “We allow this sick system to use bail as a tool for punishment and yet, people are applauding it. The alleged offenses of both @shattawalegh & @AmgMedikal are bailable offenses. Why did they have to spend even a day in remand ? SICK JUDICIARY, SICK SYSTEM.”
BACKGROUND
It could be recalled that Shatta Wale was arrested and remanded in prison custody for allegedly faking that he was shot by some gun men as prophesied by a pastor named Jesus Ahofe.
Rapper Medikal was also arrested for brandishing a gμn in public and was also ramanded until he was given a bail of GH¢100,000.
