Tragic: Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Hon. Philip Atta Basoa is dead

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu in the Ashanti Region is dead.  According to the family of the deceased, Hon. MP Philip Atta Basoah, he was found dead in his room (locked door) in a collapsed state.

After calls and checks from his stays including his friends, his family was compelled to force his door where they found him in a collapsed state.

The family rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the hospital. Moreover, due to the state in which they found the deceased, the family planned to fly him out of the country should the Ghanaian health experts not rescue the situation.

Hon. Philip Atta Basoah passed away at age of 53 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Earlier, the deceased was absent from attending to his official duty at the Parliament on Thursday, 23rd March, 2023 (the day he was suspected to lock himself).

In the absence of him and the other two (2) Members of Parliament (MP), the remaining 272 MPs cast their votes for the appointees to occupy the six (6) vacant Ministerial offices as ordered by the H.E Akufo-Addo where they came out successfully with the results.
