Transport operators to increase fares by 30 percent this week

Transport operators in the country have indicated that they will increase transport fares in the country this week.

According to them, the increase in the price of some comodities that they use in their work which enables them to move Ghanaians to their destinations have sky rocketed.

They explain that the price of fuel prices have increased many times and they cannot continue to take transport fares they use to take previously.

The question which has come up following this announcement is “Can the average Ghanaian continue to live above the poverty line if this trend of increments continue? What are your plans to cope?”
