Trey Aubrey Lance is a well-known American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Dakota State University, where he won the Walter Payton and Jerry Rice Awards as a freshman on his way to winning the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game in 2020.

Lance was selected third overall by the 49ers in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played much of his first season as a backup. He was selected as the starter in 2022, but his season was cut short due to injury.
