TTAG President, Jephthah Nana Kwame
The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) writes to inform the affiliated universities regarding the practicum fees for level 400 Trainees.
In a signed letter dated 11th July 2023 which was signed by Jephthah Nana Kwame, TTAG President, and John Edem Avedzi, Secretary, the association TTAG addressed Level 400 Practicum fee-related matters and called for fee revision.
The letter from TTAG reads:
We have observed that various affiliated Universities charged fees for the first semester examination, which included teaching practicum, project work, and other related matters.
Following our engagement with the respective affiliated Universities through the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF), we have obtained the fee details for two of the institutions as outlined below:
1. University of Ghana – GH¢ 260.00
2. University for Development Studies – GH¢ 260.00
We assure all Teacher Trainees that, we are actively engaging in proactive discussions with affiliated Universities to address the fee-related matters. Updates would be provided once a resolution is reached.
We kindly request past Student Representative Councils (SRCs) to ensure fair treatment based on revised fee amounts. If any challenges arise, please notify us promptly.
