University Of Cape Coast responsible for College of Education Studies School of Educational Development And Outreach has opened application for admission into the Three- Semester Bachelor of Education Sandwich Programmes for Diploma teachers.
In a advertisement intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, the Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) will run 3-Semester Bachelor of Education (Post-Diploma in Basic Education) Programmes in the sandwich mode for all Diploma Teachers starting in the first semester of 2020/2021 Academic Year.
According to Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast, this is to enable holders of Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) to be upgraded to a Bachelor’s degree. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, online teaching and learning will be adopted to support the traditional face-to-face approach.
Eligible students would be required to have a smartphone or tablet or any device that would allow them to connect to the internet. According to advertisement, applicants will be enrolled automatically onto their choice of programme on completion of an online form.
The statement indicated that, NO fee is required before the filling of application forms online. Only those who have passed the Diploma in Basic Education Examinations will be required to fill the form.
Applicants will be required to fill the online form indicating the programme of their choice and the Study Centre, in line with their elective subject areas. Applicants are to access the online admission form through: https://rb.gy/ikprmg Admission letters, school fees, and re-opening arrangements will be communicated later.
PROGRAMMES ON OFFER
1. B.ED. (Post-Diploma) in Early Childhood Education
2. B.ED. (Post-Diploma) in Primary Education .
3. B.ED. (Post-Diploma) Junior High School (JHS) Education
Apart from the Early Childhood Education programme, applicants for Primary and JHS programmes should choose centres that offer their corresponding elective
subjects.
In addition, applicants who are visually impaired or have hearing difficulty can select only Presbyterian College of Education as their Study Centre. Also, fees will include Tuition, Residential Accommodation and Feeding.
