University Teachers Association of Ghana declares indefinite strike action

The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has served notice to all members across the country to go on indefinite strike as they fight for a better working conditions from the government.

In a statement issued by National President of UTAG Professor Charles Marfo and his General Secretary Dr. Eric K.K Abavare has directed all UTAG Members to withdraw all teaching and related activities across their member campuses.

“We write on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of UTAG to inform and/or remind you of the intended strike action of UTAG.”

“By this notice, all campuses are to withdraw all teaching and related activities, namely, teaching, examinations, invigilation, marking of examination scripts, processing of examination results, etc. from Monday, 2nd August, 2021 until
further notice.”
