Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ablekuma West Constituency who is also the Minister for Communication and Digitalization has aided the people of her constituency with affordable yam sales.
The support according to Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful was due to the approaching festive season her constituents are waiting patiently. Hence with the “cheap” yam sales for her people, they can save enough money to celebrate Christmas also.
The Member of Parliament engineered the transport of yam from the Northern region of Ghana to Accra to sell at cheaper prices.
During the sales period, individuals thronged the premises of the Member of Parliament to buy yams at cheaper prices ahead for Christmas celebrations and sales purposes. Both men and women were present at the sales point for the purchase.
At the sales point, a tuber of yam was sold at Gh¢5.00 whereas five (5) tubers were sold at only Gh¢20.00.
