The Vice President of Ghana H.E Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia is calling on the youth of the country to put to serious scrutiny, the records of Mr. former President John Dramani Mahama, after eight years of serving, both as former Vice President and President respectively, and not fall prey to his latest enticing promises.

Dr. Bawumia, in a series of indirect questions to the Leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama on what he could point to, as some of his interventions for the youth during his tenure, also touted some major achievements of his government, as far as the youth are concerned.

“Economic Comedian Dr. Bawumia have taken over the Jobs of comedians in the country” – Joshua Akamba

“Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in an election year, and we are hearing a lot of promises from the former President. You would really, after sometime, wonder whether he has been in office before. I mean, you’ll think that, that is new; this is a new person. But former President Mahama is not a new quantity, he is a known quantity, who has been in office as Vice President and President” He explained.

What the youth of this country should ask is – what did John Mahama do for the youth of this country, in eight years of government?

Mr. Bawumia further noted that, the second term of H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo, should they be given the mandate to serve again, shall be transformational, with the youth at the center of affairs.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, promises are one thing, but deeds and actions are another. Actions speak louder than words, and John Mahama’s record of incompetence has already spoken very loudly. President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo has demonstrated an understanding of the issues faced by the youth, and has done something about it. Insha Allah, his second term in office will be transformational for this country, with the youth at the center of that transformation”, the Vice President said, with resounding applause from a crowd of seemingly happy party stalwarts, including party chairman, Fredi Blay, Nana B, National Youth Organizer, and others.” He concluded.
