Video: Fighting and Confusion at Bantama NPP Parliamentary Primaries
The ruling New Patriotic Party is holding it’s parliamentary primaries today, June 20, 2020 ahead of the December 7th presidential and parliamentary elections.
The parliamentary primaries is being held in 101 constituencies with sitting members of Parliament across the country. The polls opened at 7:00 am and is expected to close at exactly 1:00 pm.
However, Information reaching coverghana.com.gh indicated that there is a lot of in fighting and confusion among the supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Bantama constituency.
According to a video reports from Joy News Tv, one of the agents representing the current Member of Parliament for the Bantaman Constituency, Daniel Okyem Aboagye tried preventing the Constituency Treasurer from voting because his status as an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not allow him to vote, even though his name can be found in the album being used for the election in the constituency.
