Video: Hon. Woyome donates to Sogakope Comboni Cuniberto RC Schools

The South Tongu Lawmaker, Mr. Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome has donated bags of cement to Comboni Cuniberto R/C Basic School and Curnibeto Memorial R/C Basic School at Sogakope in the South Tongu District of the Volta region.

The Member of Parliament, on Thursday, 7th October, 2021 has handed over a total of twenty five (25) bags of cement to the Management of the two Basic Schools on the same compound for the commencement of work.

The donation was made following a request from the schools to the office of the Member of Parliament to fence the schools compound.

According to the MP, a total of two hundred (200) bags of cement will be distributed to some selected schools in his Constituency within the week for minor renovations and fencing.

Speaking at short ceremony to hand over the cement, the MP said, his doors are opend, for more requests because, he is in for development. He therefore admonished the school authorities to continue to make requests towards the development of the schools.

He believes that, when the fence wall is completed, it will help provide conducive environment for teaching and learning.

Speaking at the event, the Headmistress of the Curnibeto Memorial R/C Basic School Madam Rose Agbedoe said, there are a lot of intruders, wee smokers, motor riders among many distracting smooth and effective teaching and learning in the schools.

According to her, the management of the schools deem it necessary to request for a fifty (50) bags of cement to fence the schools. “We have received 25 bags of cement, we hope to receive more and other materials so that, the intention to fence the school will be achieved.” She said.
