Former President John Dramani Mahama has responded to claims by Martin A.B.K Amidu that he is Government officials 1 in the Airbus Scandal.
The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. Martin Alamisi Amidu on 15th October, 2020 released a Corruption assessment report on the Agyapa Mineral Royalties deal I which he claimed that former President John Dramani Mahama is Government official 1 in the Airbus Scandal.
In his report, Mr. Martin Amidu indicated that the only reason he has not invited John Dramani Mahama for interrogation is because he got himself an insurance as the Presidential candidate of the other largest political party in the country.
Responding to the claims made by Mr. Martin Amidu, John Dramani Mahama indicated that he is disappointed in Mr. Martin Amidu for making such a claim.
Speaking in an interview with Francis Arban on Starr FM, John Dramani Mahama said he is very surprised and disappointed Martin Amidu for putting such a paragraph in the Agyapa Mineral Royalties deal just to equalize and bring the Airbus issue up as if it was a major issue.
