VIDEO: Ursula Owusu responds to rumors of becoming running mate for Bawumia

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Communications Minister and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, has officially addressed the allegations around the proposal to be Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate in the 2024 general elections.

The names of notable persons have emerged in the contest for Dr. Bawumia’s running mate in the next general elections, including MP for Suame Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, and several others.

Speaking in an interview on UTV, the Communications Minister revealed that she talks to Dr. Bawumia often, but they have never discussed her becoming his running mate.

She said the NPP party still has a lot of work to do before the elections in 2024. She hoped the party would let Dr. Bawumia select his own vice presidential candidate.

She clarified that she had always discussed digitalization and their intentions to break the eight with the Vice President and the NPP flagbearer.

In order to continue serving her constituents, the MP for Ablekuma West stated that her main goal is to hold onto her position in parliament.
