The Volta Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Appeals Committee has issued a statement to clarify issues on Disqualified Aspirants who served the committee an appeal to intervene into issues of disqualification during District level vetting.
According to the statement issued, a total of thirty-four (34) disqualified aspirants have served the NPP Volta Regional Appeals Committee a petition to review some reasons stated by the vetting committee as basis for their disqualification.
After a thorough review of the appeals, the Committee has given its final decision on the subject matter.
The committee in a statement said, its members have sat from Saturday, April 23, 2022 to Sunday, April 24, 2022 to consider the appeal from all disqualified aspirants across the constituencies in the Volta Region.
The notice signed by the Chairman of the Appeals Committee, Mr. Benoni Glala said, upon a careful review of the appeals, a total of twenty-four (24) aspirants still stand disqualified while ten (10) aspirants have been declared qualified to contest the upcoming constituency level elections.
