Volta & Oti Regions Set Dates for Workshop on Introduction to SHS, SHTS, and STEM Curriculum
Volta and Oti Regions
The Volta and Oti Regions are set to host a workshop on “Introduction to the SHS, SHTS, and STEM Curriculum” from November 6th to November 10th, 2023. The event aims to equip educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement the curriculum in schools across the regions.
The workshop, organized by the Regional Training Office, will bring together participants from a total of 36 schools within the regions.
The host school for the event is Keta Municipal, and the participating schools span various districts including Anloga, Kota Municipal, Ketu South, and Ketu North.
During the workshop, participants will receive training on the SHS (Senior High School), SHTS (Senior High/Technical School), and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curricula.
The sessions will be led by experienced facilitators who will guide the educators in understanding the content, objectives, and implementation strategies of these curricular frameworks.
The lodging arrangements for participants vary across schools. Some schools will provide lodging for the facilitators, while others will have them commute to the workshop venue. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for all participants to ensure a conducive learning environment.
The workshop also serves as an opportunity for networking and collaboration among educators from different schools. It encourages the sharing of best practices and fosters a sense of community within the educational landscape of the Volta and Oti Regions.
It is important to note that heads of schools are not included in the training. However, a separate program has been arranged for them at a later date to address their specific needs and challenges.
Participants are urged to comply with the provided workshop dates and arrangements.
The Regional Training Office is available for any further inquiries or clarifications.
