Volta Region gets two new healthcare facilities to support health delivery
Volta Region witnessed the commissioning of two (2) new healthcare facilities to support health delivery in the Region.
Updating on the new facilities for the Region, the Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu detailed the towns that benefited from healthcare facilities funded by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH).
Hon. Gunu stated that on Monday, February 24, 2025, “the Region witnessed the commissioning of two critical healthcare facilities, marking a major step forward in healthcare delivery to our people.”
“The first commissioning took place in Abutia Kpota, where a newly constructed health facility, funded by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), was inaugurated. H.E. Kyongsig Park, Korean Ambassador to Ghana, and Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Health, and I, commended Korea’s unwavering commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Ghana.”
“The second commissioning was held in Ho near the Woezor Hotel, where the Biomedical Engineering Unit of the Regional Health Directorate was launched. This essential facility will ensure the maintenance and repair of medical equipment across the Region.”
