What is Public Service Manual and Policy Framework?

Public service workers in Ghana have regulatory policies and acts that protect their interest and welfare. One of such important documentation is The Public Service Manual and Policy Framework which is formally written under the Public Service Commission Act.

This Policy Framework and Manual for civil workers was proposed, structured and accepted by the 2015 Cabinet of Ghana when Ex President John Dramani Mahama was in office.

It’s core mandate was to ensure an appropriate standard and stability in the Various Public Service departments across the country.

To avoid complications from its application in the various offices, the Public Service Commission ensured that staff of all public services organizations were taken through a number of workshops and seminars on the new development.

Senior staff members or administrative Heads were also trained on how to handle the policy. The Commission also printed out and issued a number of copies of the policy Framework manual to the public institutions for use.
