“Your mates are winning Grammys and you are here insulting women”- Netizens jabs Sarkodie for attacking Yvonne Nelson
The Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie, and Yvonne Nelson, Actress have become “household names” after the publication of Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” hence, their names have been called for public crucifixion.
In the said memoir of Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie was mentioned to have dated and had a thing with the author in 2010. Unfortunately, it seemed that a disagreement surfaced due to seeing the way forward on how best they should keep the seed planted in the author of” I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”.
On Wednesday, 28th June 2023, the Tema-based Rapper, Sarkodie released a song titled “Try Me” which was meant to address the issues raised by Yvonne Nelson in her memoir about the rapper.
According to the song “Try Me,” Sarkodie admitted his affair with Yvonne and talked extensively about having knowledge of the seed planted in her. He also added that he did not instruct Yvonne to terminate the growth of the seed.
The memoir and the reply “Try Me” got social media buzzing hence, many netizens have drawn their analytical view to the matter whereby they shared views on the relationship topic.
A popular netizen on Twitter has chastised the rapper for calling Yvonne Nelson names in his new song “Try Me” which is a reply to the actress’ memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”.
Among the thousands of netizens who were not happy about Sarkodie’s reply, one comment from blackolover caught the attention of many.
Blackolover (@ghanabO) commented, “Your mates are winning Grammy Awards. Filling stadium, performing at the UCL. But you are here insulting a woman. Such a coward. So this is your favorite rapper?”.
According to the said netizen, the Rapper should have focused on lifting his career in order to rock shoulders with the likes of the neighbouring country, Nigeria because they are performing at the Grammy, BET, and UCL among others.
To him, the “favourite rapper” should have been mute on the matter.
