Zapp Mallet, a top Ghanaian music producer and sound engineer has apologized for the denigrating statement he made about Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum as she commenced the Sing-A-Thon.

She started her Sing-A-Thon on 24th December, 2023, at exactly 12:00 am and is expected to end it today, 27th December, 2023.

On the platform, X, ace sound engineer Zapp Mallet criticised Afua saying “Herrhh! Find some heavy to eat. Singing is for the strong. Don’t let deceive you. Now you see you can’t even hit key? So so off-key. All bcos you tire. Smh”

In another post in relation to his deranging post, he said
“Even professional singers won’t attempt a feat like this without a voice coach around to be coaching what to do. No strategy. Just play, I will sing. I feel for Afua paa.”

Fast forward, Sonnie Badu called Zapp Mallet to order and asked Ghanaians to support her.

“Uncle Zapp, please, I beg let’s support her… It is a record she is trying to set… You don’t need to be professional to do this… She has a very sharp memory, and she can remember every single song back to back….

“Please commend her for that … I love you my legend… I come in love Uncle .. I beg I come in love …

Today, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, the last day for Afua’s Sing-A-Thon journey, Zapp Mallet has returned with an apology baton.
