The Independent candidate for the Zebilla constituency (Upper East Region) for the upcoming general elections, Miss Patience Akparipoka Ndebugre has stated that one of the major motives behind her contesting the Zebilla seat is to empower women, children, and the vulnerable.

Patience Akaripoka Ndebugre is the first daughter of former MP
(now deceased) for Zebilla constituency, Hon. John Ndebugre Akparibo

The aspirant, Miss Ndebugri is contesting John Kingsley Kurugu of the NPP and Ebenezer Alumir Ndebilla of the NDC.

She indicated that most women and children in the area are those who face more hardship and when given the nod to lead the people, she would empower them to help elevate them out of the hardship.

Furthermore, she said she is not scared to be sandwiched between two men in a contest, and that competence would count at the end of the day but not gender.

The Zebilla Constituency is currently handled by former majority leader Cletus Avoka who bowed out of contesting last year.
