2004 class of Mfantsipim Old Boys Association unveil GH₵2m Trust Fund

The Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA ’04) has recently unveiled a groundbreaking initiative – the MOBA ’04 Trust Fund – with the ambitious goal of raising GH₵2 million to bolster their beloved alma mater, Mfantsipim School.

Samuel Menyah Asah-Kissiedu, the President of MOBA ’04, shared the noble objectives of the trust fund during an event titled ‘The Reconnect Night,’ where members of the illustrious 2004 year group came together to reminisce about their academic journey after 19 years.

The primary aim of the trust fund is to provide financial support for two significant events at Mfantsipim School.

Firstly, the fund will contribute to the forthcoming 2024 Speech and Prize Giving Day, ensuring a grand celebration for the school. Secondly, it will be instrumental in commemorating Mfantsipim School’s 158th Anniversary in 2034, marking a momentous milestone in the school’s history.

Additionally, the trust fund will extend its benevolent reach to cater to the health and welfare needs of members of MOBA ’04, fostering a spirit of solidarity and camaraderie among the alumni.

Mr. Kissiedu proudly highlighted some of the remarkable projects already undertaken by the 2004 Class Group in support of their alma mater.

Notable accomplishments include the restoration of the revered “Faithful Eight” torch, a symbol of the school’s pride, and the refurbishment of the school’s dispensary, ensuring better healthcare facilities for the students.

The establishment of the trust fund exemplifies the unwavering commitment of the 2004 Class Group to preserving the rich legacy of Mfantsipim School and fostering a culture of benevolence that will benefit current and future generations.

To ensure the transparent and efficient management of the trust fund, a 14-member board will oversee its operations, with each member being an alumnus of Mfantsipim School.

This approach is designed to safeguard the fund’s integrity, promote prudence, and create an atmosphere of utmost transparency in its dispensation.

Abusuapanyin Captain Paul Forjoe, the President of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the initiative.

He commended the 2004 year group for their dedication and urged all alumni of Mfantsipim School to wholeheartedly support the trust fund, recognizing the significant impact it can make on the school and its community.

The MOBA ’04 Trust Fund commences with an initial seed capital of GH₵100,000. As the alumni community rallies behind this noble cause, the trust fund holds the promise of transforming Mfantsipim School’s future while keeping its cherished heritage alive.
