3 out of 4 selected Local Team Coaches arrive at Black Stars Camp

With 4 days left to the start of the most prestigious tournament across the globe thus the World Cup, three out of the four selected local coaches have joined the Ghana National team, Black Stars team in Abu Dhabi.

The Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture selected these coaches to augment the Technical Team on Attachment duty at the World Cup in Qatar.

The selected coaches are;

  1. Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum, formerly of Asante Kotoko
  2. Samuel Boadu formerly of Heart of Oak
  3. Black Meteors Coach Ibrahim Tanko and
  4. Ignatius Osei Fosu who is the Assistant Coach of the Black Starlets.

This move by the GFA is targeted at giving the local coaches an opportunity to pick useful lessons from the biggest global showpiece and learn from the Black Stars Technical team.

As of 16th November, 2022, three out of the four have joined the team in Camp. The three are;

  1. Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum
  2. Coach Ibrahim Tanko and
  3. Samuel Boadu

With the exploits of these coaches in the local league, it is undeniable that this platform will give them the room to broaden their technical knowledge and improve on their skills.

Dr. Nartey Ogum is a Premier League winner, Samuel Boadu is also MTN FA Cup Winner. The other two, Ibrahim Tanko and Ignatius Osei Fosu are also Technical Instructors for the Technical Directorate of the GFA.
