Hon. Betty presents hospital beds to presbyterian hospital at Donkorkrom
The Honourable Member of Parliament for the Kwahu Afram Plains North Constituency, Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah has presented a total of 17 beds to the Presbyterian Hospital, Donkorkrom.
The presentation, which was done on Sunday, June 12, 2022 was to support the hospital in providing health services to the people.
The Presbyterian Hospital – Donkorkrom is the only District hospital serving the good people of the Kwahu Afram Plains North and South Districts in the Eastern Region.
Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah in her address indicated that, she had to use her National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Fund for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 to see to the completion of the Abotanso and Faaso Battor Health Centers, all in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District as a way of supporting health delivery.
She presented 3 delivery beds, 6 electronic beds, 2 theatre beds, 6 manual beds, 1 baby court, 2 incubators, 30 walking sticks and 30 wheel chairs to the Presbyterian Hospital, Donkorkrom.
She further presented 500 dual desks, 100 teachers’ desks, 1000 reading books, 1,200 exercise books and 150 bicycles to the district education directorate as a way of supporting education in the district.
Present during the presentation were the director of election for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region, Baba Jamal, the District Director of Education (Afram Plains North) Mr. Solomon Akuruko Azubila, District Director of Health (Afram Plains North) Mr. Francis Kwotua Apungu and Hon. Hottordze Alexander (MP – Central Tongu).
The legislature appreciated the efforts of YEG Rotary Club, Sinkunia Community Development Organisation and Emmanuel Foundation for their support towards the project.
