The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 44 years old man for impersonation and unlawful possession of firearm.
On Saturday, 11th September, 2021, about 1920 hours, C/Supt Mr. Christian Owusu Mpinim the District police Commander of Asokwa arrested and brought to the station Richard Nyantakyi, aged 44 years together with a pump action gun with a report that about 1900 hours whiles driving from Barekese to Abrepo, he spotted the said suspect in a dress that looks like Police uniform welding the pump action gun directing traffic at Asuofua lorry station.

The Police preliminary investigation said, the suspect when confronted claimed to be a policeman stationed at Suame. When asked of his service number he could not give any.
The suspect was detained by the police and the gun retained for further action.
