A Youth Activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Agbenya Precious popularly known as Emperor Blade has organized training workshop for Okada Operators in his community.
According to Mr. Agbenya Precious, the training workshop for the Okada operators/riders was organized taking into account the 2020 manifesto of the National Democratic Congress and his personal experience in an accident.

He believes that, the opposition National Democratic Congress will win the 2024 Presidential Elections hence, the need to prepare the ground by organizing training workshop in his small ways ahead of the party’s plans to regulate okada in their next NDC administration.
Speaking to the Chief Editor of Coverghana, Mr. Agbenya Precious said, he has witnessed an accident that hit him so much and since then he came up with the concept which he believes can safe lives within his area.
The training workshop saw in attendance over fifty (50) Okada Riders at Agbakope in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region, Ghana.
Mr. Agbenya voluntarily organized this training for Okada Riders where he donated reflectors to each of them as a way of protecting them and passengers especially at night.
As an upcoming benevolent and philanthropist, he also fed all the participants with breakfast to boast their morals in the forthcoming training.
The training workshop came at the appropriate time as the Global status report on road safety launched by WHO keeps rising.
The report highlighted that the number of annual road traffic deaths has reached over 1.35 million. Road traffic injuries are now the leading killer of people aged 5-29 years.

The burden is disproportionately borne by pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists, in particular those living in developing countries. The report suggests that the price paid for mobility is too high, especially because proven measures exist.
As the Global status report suggest drastic action to help curb the rising road accident to meet any future global target that might be set and save lives, Mr. Agbenya Precious has set the ball rolling in his community.
