Ablakwa institutes award scheme for most COVID-19 safety protocols compliant registration center 

The young and unpredicted Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region has instituted an announced Special Award Scheme for the most novel Coronavirus pandemic protocols compliant registration centres within his constituency.

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who visited some registration centres within his constituency in District capital of Battor-Dugame, Mepe and Juapong etc said, applicants in North Tongu have strictly followed all protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service and the Electoral Commission of Ghana to curb the spread of the Coronavirus during first day of the voter’s registration exercise.

According to the Lawmaker, he was very impressed about the turnout of his constituent during the first day of the registration exercise.

“There shall be special prizes for the most COVID-19 safety protocols compliant polling stations in North Tongu.” He promised.


Mr. Ablakwa in a Facebook post also applauded the Electoral Commission officials for putting in place proper and strict rules and regulations governing the exercise. He again challenged the officials and his constituents to maintain peace across all registration centres within the North Tongu Constituency.

Earlier, Coverghana.com.gh reported that, Ghanaians across the country applauded the people of North Tongu and Electoral Commission officials for being the most organized constituency during the first day of the registration exercise in Ghana.
