Abronye DC failed to honour CID invitation to investigate false news against Mahama
Information available to Coverghana.com.gh indicated that, Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye who was invited by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to assist in the investigation on publication of false news against H.E John Dramani Mahama has failed to honour the CID’s invitation.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) DSP Juliana Obeng told Umaru Sanda Amadu of Joy News eyewitness monitored by Coverghana.com.gh that, Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye has not appear before the CID on the purpose of invitation.
CID’s Invitation to Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service in a letter written to Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye popular know as Abronye DC on 19th May, 2020 has invited him to appear before Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the CID on Thursday, 21st May, 2020 at exactly 10:00am for investigation.
In the letter, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has noted, it has presented its compliments and wishes to invite Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye to assist in investigation.
The letter which was signed by the Deputy Director-General of CID Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II, suggest that, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the CID Headquarters has commenced investigation into an alleged case of Publication of false news reported by His Excellency the Former President
John Dramani Mahama against him.
Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye was asked to contact the Unit Commander, Superintendent Mr. Ebenezer Nketiah on his Cell phone number 0554507963 for any information or clarification.
You will recalled that Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye has been reported to have accused the President John Dramani Mahama to have been involved in an Airbus Bribery Scandal, murderer cases among many. The former president has officially reported the case to the CID of Ghana police service to commence investigation into the alleged fake publications against him.
