Adwoa Safo demands Afenyo-Markin’s removal as Deputy Majority Leader (+VIDEO)

The Honourable Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has revealed that, Sarah Adwoa Safo wants the Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin removed.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo is demanding the removal of the Effutu Constituency Member of Parliament Alexander Afenyo-Markin before she will return to Parliament.
Sarah Adwoa Safo has, in the recent times faces pressure being mounted on her by some New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP and followers over her continued disappearance in the Legislative House, Parliament.
This according to the Majority Caucus is affecting the ruling government’s business at the moment she is urgently needed to support the Majority side towards the passage of the Electronic Transfer Levy.

Speaking in an interview on Asaase Breakfast Show with Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on Tuesday, 22nd February, 2022, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has indicated that, the action of the Sarah Adwoa Safo is causing the party many disaffection in the face of trivial issues.
He also revealed that, Sarah Adwoa Safo wants to be appointed the Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament in the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
According to sources, her disappearance was as a result of the Majority Caucus’s refusal to hi e her what she wanted in Parliament.

But, the Assin Central MP has threatened that, he will turn his back on the New Patriotic Party and leave Ghana to America if President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo heeds to the demands of the Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo.
Kennedy Agyapong categorically said, “Adwoa now is saying that before she comes [to Parliament] … ‘you have to remove Alex Markin as Deputy Majority Leader – announce it that Alex Markin has been removed’ then she will take a plane and come [she is believed to be abroad].

He added that, “One other demand she is making is that ‘If you don’t give me what I want, you are not going to get the E-Levy passed, and if you don’t pass the E-Levy, you will go to the International Monetary Fund, so unless you give me what I want, I will never “
