AFCON2023: Dr. Bawumia sends heartfelt message to Black Stars ahead of their opening match

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic and NPP 2024 Flagbearer has sent a heartfelt message to Black Stars ahead of their opening match in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Blacks Stars will play with Cape Verde in their opening match at the 2023 AFCON.
Dr. Bawumia wished in a public statement saying “I wish the team the best of luck tonight against Cape Verde.”

Go Black Stars!! Go Ghana!!

This evening in Cote d’Ivoire, our senior national football team, the Black Stars, begin another campaign in search of a 5th African Cup of Nations trophy. Since we last won the trophy 42 years ago, we have, on many occasions, come so close to winning the trophy again, yet, so far.

We are the Black Stars; a resilient nation that does not give up. Let us all rally behind the Black Stars, as they battle for the ultimate prize in African football.

I wish the team the best of luck tonight against Cape Verde.
